A maniac or a highly intelligent manipulator? Even after 30 years, Charles Manson is in the centre of attention.

He describes himself as an insidious, evil person but regardless to that he will be applying for parole again in 2012.

What goes on in the head of such a person? Until now he has not been convicted of any of the monstrous crimes, apart from credit card forgery and car theft. He dances in front of cameras, gives interviews to magazines and televisions. For many he is a cult leader, for others just an ordinary murderer who is not worth mentioning and better to wipe him off the world.

What do the bereaved of the victims executed by him with no mercy think? Has he got any conscience? Is it possible to punish evil or put it in jail? Is there any degree of penance that would wash away such mindless horror? These are the questions waiting for answers.
